Nestled in the Catskill Mountains of New York, The Gourd Gathering has been reimagined not only as a scenic day trip destination, but also a cozy boutique bed & breakfast getaway with private cottages available for weekend bookings. I developed this brief to create a new brand for an already established orchard that would highlight the cottage amenities and not only entice but make it easy for guests to book a stay.

DEVELOPING THE BRAND.

Upscale boutique resort vibes coupled with a pumpkin picking day trip, this was a really cool project to brand. I wanted to differentiate the experience from the gamut of fall hay bale orchards with a fresh and elegant feel that would entice not only a trendy young family in NYC to come check it out for the day or weekend, but also not dissuade the locals. Moody hues, earthy palettes, and clean lines all come together to give it a unified and tight look.

I wanted to create an imagined promo to hand out to local partners in NYC, and also something that could translate well to locals in the surrounding Catskills area. To keep with the upscale vibes, I went for a thicker card stock accordion style brochure that would wow immediately with bold and moody imagery.

DIGITAL STRATEGY.

For social, I focused on subtle messaging overlays to seamlessly blend into the grid aesthetic.

For web, a good landing page is one that sets the tone of the brand right away with color and photography, lets you know where you've landed, and gives you an immediate CTA if you already knows what you’re there for. In this case, you can book a stay at GG right away, or scroll to find out more about the b&b orchard and the amenities.
